A long time ago, a music reviewer said an if thousands performance, “was like watching a couple of mannequins.” Very true. The reason is (and at the risk of sounding horribly pretentious) during a performance, it’s all about the music if thousands is creating, not what their doing. They’re doing a lot more than it looks like, but it’s really not as interesting as what you’re hearing. That’s why if thousands sometimes uses visuals. They’re trying to take the focus off themselves and force audiences to focus on the sounds. This is an odd concept, perhaps, but oh well…. that’s how they do what they do and why they do it in a live setting.
Still, if thousands does move onstage. Honest. Even more than when they first started. Which isn’t much.
As for photos, when if thousands old .com site was hijacked, so were all of their old photos. Please bear with us as we try to find backups. They’ll be posted if/when they are found. For now, this all there is.
